A professional recruiter, Dee originally began her career in finance. With vast business development management experience in the UK & overseas & Dee has created and developed the Gingham brand; offering nanny, maternity nurses and other childcare recruitment services, including professional training for childcarers.

Dee is an experienced recruitment consultant with a forwarding thinking strategic approach combined with a professional and supportive attitude. As a mother of two children, Dee is proud to be the founder of Gingham.

This, combined with excellent business negotiation and communications skills Dee’s focus is to guide candidates to achieve their goals and ambitions. Dee is passionate about helping people individually, as well as having business impact at scale, by using data driven and social recruiting strategies and solutions. Clients receive second to none focused care, with individual plan to tackle their childcare needs. Candidates benefit from receiving professional advice, training and development.

Dee has launched a service in 2016 to offer childcare solutions to families who have experienced incidents, accidents or medical negligence. Now working closely with Case Managers, Law Firms & Deputies and deliver highly focused specialist childcare recruitment & direct employment service for clients with brain, spinal & catastrophic injuries as well as SEN needs.

Emily Cross

HR Manager | Employment & Compliance Specialist

Emily is the HR Manager at Gingham Nanny Agency, overseeing all aspects of people management, employment compliance, and HR strategy within a specialist childcare recruitment environment.

With a strong background in HR and recruitment, I bring a detailed understanding of employment law, contractual compliance, and best practice across the full recruitment lifecycle. This experience enables me to implement effective, ethical, and compliant HR frameworks that support both families and childcare professionals. My role focuses on policy development, staff wellbeing, and employment best practice, ensuring a high standard of professionalism, compliance, and consistency across all placements.

Edward Webb

Recruitment Consultant

As a Recruiter at Gingham Nanny Agency, passionate about connecting exceptional childcare professionals with families who value trust, quality, and discretion. I work closely with high-net-worth private families and complex clients, including those requiring specialist support during and post-litigation, ensuring each placement reflects the family’s lifestyle, expectations, additional needs, and unique dynamics.

I support both families and nannies throughout every stage of the recruitment process, offering guidance, reassurance, and clear communication to ensure a smooth and positive experience for all involved. My focus on long-term compatibility helps create successful, lasting placements built on mutual respect and understanding.

With growing expertise in social recruiting, market research, and candidate engagement, I contribute to maintaining and strengthening our agency’s reputation for excellence. I am dedicated, empathetic, and detail-oriented, with a strong commitment to helping families find trusted childcare professionals — and helping nannies find roles where they can truly thrive.

In addition, I actively encourage both existing nannies and professionals outside the agency to engage in our specialist training opportunities to further enhance their knowledge and skills. I also support the business operationally by assisting with onboarding processes, including setting up professional email accounts for new employees.

Caroline Zwierchowska-Dod

Safeguarding and Education Lead

Caroline is a trained teacher and a newborn and parenting specialist. A qualified maternity nurse and certified birth & postnatal doula, Caroline supports parents with all aspects of infant sleep, feeding and development.

In September 2018 Caroline joined force with Gingham Kids and now presents many courses, including supporting mums on their breastfeeding journeys, maternity, sleeping issues and many others.

Skye Sofia

Researcher & Recruitment Consultant

As an undergraduate, Skye started tutoring French, Spanish and English to help fund her way through university. It started as a necessity, but she absolutely loved it: she had caught the childcare bug.
She spends summers working abroad in Switzerland as in a beautiful summer camp that further affirmed her love for working in a child-centred environment.
In the last year, Skye studied the fundamentals of pedagogy and teaching to gain her teaching degree (QTS and PGCE) and has since been Nannying in Cambridge.
She has since been applying her knowledge of childcare to the recruitment team behind the scenes of Gingham.
