About the Role:

Location: Bexleyheath
Hours: Fridays, 7:00am – 6:00pm (Additional hours may become available as the role develops)
Role: We are seeking a compassionate, reliable and proactive Specialist Nanny / Support Worker to support a bright and engaging 6-year-old child in a loving family home. This is a rewarding opportunity to make a meaningful difference while working within a supportive and professional environment.

About the Child:

6-year-old girl who attends a mainstream school and enjoys being part of everyday life with her family and friends.

The child:
– has Cerebral Palsy, affecting muscle tone in her limbs and trunk
– uses a wheelchair and is beginning to use a powered wheelchair
– is non-verbal, but communicates effectively through:
– Facial expressions
– Gestures
– Eye gaze technology
The chid understands everything around her and is incredibly bright and engaged.

The child enjoys:
– Spending time with her family, especially her parents and cousins
– Attending school and socialising with friends
– Watching YouTube and children’s programmes
– Playing with her toys
– Caring for her much-loved guinea pigs

Key Responsibilities:

– Supporting with morning routine and school preparation
– Accompanying her to school
– Returning to the family home to complete light household duties
– School collection
– Providing attentive, engaging care until parents return

Support Needs:

Requires support with:
– Assistance with personal care
– Communication support

The Ideal Candidate

We are looking for someone who is:
– Kind, patient and emotionally attuned
– Confident supporting children with additional needs
– Comfortable working within a family home environment
– Proactive, organised and reliable
– Able to build a strong, trusting relationship
– Experience with complex care or SEN is highly desirable.
