About the Role:

Role: Specialist Nanny to provide shift cover
Location: Southminster (Southend)
Start Date: ASAP
Salary: £20 per hour
Hours: 3-7pm this week Monday-Friday, following week 10am-7pm Monday-Friday, including Saturdays 10-7/8 (shift patterns may vary) due to school holidays
Role Description: Gingham Specialist Services is urgently seeking an experienced and confident Specialist Nanny to provide shift cover from 3pm – 7/8pm Monday-Friday for one of our families. The role involves supporting a 7-year-old boy with SEN needs after school. The family requires a consistent, nurturing and child-centred approach, with particular emphasis on maintaining routines, emotional security and age-appropriate activities. SEN experience is a must.

We are looking for someone who is:

– A SEN experienced professional nanny
– ⁠Calm, warm, reliable and adaptable
– Confident providing sole-charge childcare
– Previous experience of young children with ASD
– Able to provide consistent routines and emotionally supportive childcare
– Ideally experienced in trauma-informed childcare or complex family circumstances
– Enhanced DBS checked
– ⁠Paediatric First Aid qualified
– Previous ABI experience would be advantageous
