Gingham Specialist Services is recruiting two to three compassionate and experienced Specialist Nannies to join a dedicated team supporting a four-year-old boy with cerebral palsy.

The child is PEG-fed and will receive 2:1 support. The Specialist Nanny will work alongside a support worker, helping to provide consistent, child-centred support within the family home.

About the Role:

Location: Slough, Buckinghamshire
Hours: Shifts between 7:00am and 9:00pm
Days: Monday to Sunday
Positions available: Two to three Specialist Nannies
Salary: £20 – £24 per hour depending on experience, qualification and the shift

The family includes:
– Providing warm, holistic support tailored to the child’s developmental, emotional and practical needs
– Working collaboratively with the support worker, family and wider professional team
– Supporting meaningful play, learning, communication and age-appropriate activities
– Following established routines and care plans
– Helping the child participate safely and confidently in family and community life
– Completing light housekeeping while the child is at school, including meal preparation and household errands
– Maintaining clear records and communicating effectively with the family and professional team

We are looking for candidates who are:

– Compassionate, reliable and genuinely child-focused
– Confident working collaboratively within a 2:1 support arrangement
– Experienced in supporting children with complex needs—experience of cerebral palsy and PEG feeding would be highly advantageous
– Calm, observant and able to follow clinical guidance and established protocols
– Willing to undertake relevant training
– Able to work flexibly as part of a consistent rota team

An enhanced DBS check, suitable childcare or care experience and excellent references will be required.
