About the Role:

A lovely private family in central Bristol is seeking a warm, experienced and engaging Nanny to care for their two-year-old twins, working Monday to Friday, 8:30am–5:30pm.
The ideal candidate will be nurturing, energetic and confident in caring for two young children, with a genuine enthusiasm for reading, singing, imaginative play and outdoor activities. The children are affectionate, bright and active, although both are naturally a little shy, so encouraging socialisation through playgroups and regular outings will be an important part of the role.

Key Responsibilities:

– Providing attentive, nurturing care for the twins throughout the day.
– Planning and engaging in age-appropriate play and activities.
– Taking the children out daily to playgrounds, libraries, playgroups and other local activities.
– Preparing nutritious lunches, dinners and snacks.
– Supporting the children’s afternoon nap routine and administering vitamins.
– Encouraging a love of reading, outdoor activity, kindness and independence.
– Maintaining a tidy playroom at the end of the day.

The family values gentle, respectful and consistent boundaries. The successful candidate should be comfortable acknowledging children’s feelings, explaining expectations clearly and maintaining firm but appropriate boundaries.
The family is also keen to promote a gender-neutral approach to raising the children, encouraging both children equally to develop confidence, kindness, strength and sensitivity.
The family has clear expectations around no sweets and no screen time, other than video calls. They aim to provide nutritious meals with good sources of fibre and protein while minimising processed food.

The family:

Both parents work from home and are supportive and approachable. They value clear communication, particularly during the daily morning and evening handovers, and are happy to provide additional support when their schedules allow.
The family is based in central Bristol, with excellent transport links, including a major train station within approximately 10 minutes’ walk. A parking space can also be provided. There are numerous child-friendly facilities nearby, including playgrounds, libraries, playgroups, soft-play centres and a play café.
