Gingham Nanny Agency is delighted to be recruiting an experienced, warm and reliable Part-Time Nanny / Family Assistant for a professional family based in Ingrave, near Brentwood.
The family is looking for someone who can become a trusted and consistent part of family life, helping with busy morning routines, school and nursery runs, after-school care and evening routines.

About the Role:

Location: Ingrave, near Brentwood, Essex, CM13
Start: Mid-September / October 2026
Salary: From £18 gross per hour, depending on experience
Position: Part-time, live-out
Children: Two young boys

Approximate weekly schedule:

Monday
7:00am – approximately 8:45am
Breakfast, helping the children get ready and school/nursery drop-off.
Tuesday
Approximately 3:30/3:45pm – 7:00pm
Support with dinner, bath and bedtime.
There may also be the opportunity for regular Tuesday evening babysitting/date-night cover.
Wednesday
7:00am – approximately 8:45am
Morning routine and school/nursery drop-off.
3:15pm – 7:00pm
School/nursery collection, dinner, bath and bedtime.
Thursday
7:00am – approximately 8:45am
Morning routine and school/nursery drop-off.
3:15pm – 7:00pm
School/nursery collection, dinner, bath and bedtime.
Potential for occasional or regular evening babysitting/date-night cover.
Friday
No regular childcare required.
The core hours are approximately 16 hours per week, with the opportunity for additional babysitting and flexibility where mutually agreed.

Duties will include:

– School and nursery runs (Driver with own car is essential)
– Preparing breakfast and helping the children get ready
– School/nursery collections
– Preparing healthy meals for the children and some family meal preparation
– Bath and bedtime routines
– Children’s laundry and wardrobe organisation
– Nursery duties and light child-related household support
– Supporting routines and boundaries
– Play, activities and age-appropriate outings
– Occasional babysitting
– Potential travel with the family
The role will involve a combination of shared care and sole charge.

The ideal nanny will be:

– Experienced, warm, organised and dependable
– Confident caring for young children
– Proactive and able to take initiative
– Comfortable working alongside busy professional parents
– A confident driver with their own car
– Able to obtain/maintain appropriate business-use insurance
– A non-smoker
– Appropriately qualified, with relevant childcare experience
– Happy to provide occasional babysitting and some flexibility when required
The role will involve a combination of shared care and sole charge.

This would particularly suit a nanny looking for a lovely part-time position with regular hours, while retaining availability for other work during the week.
